I used to buy tinctures and capsules from amazon and the like and it was very hit or miss. Ginseng was one of the most useful medicines I had ever used though so I kept searching. It has been eight years since my “ginseng revelation”, and finally, thanks to being older and wiser, it clicked: go to the source.
This is the second Wisconsin ginseng company I have used, and while both were great products, this company’s ginseng has a much more “complete” or “balanced” ginseng profile for their end product. It provides energy while keeping you calm, and is even powerful enough to distract you from less healthy vices. Aiding in focusing on the task at hand or even just meditation should be the goal for any stimulating medicine, not a dopamine rush for the sake of having a dopamine rush that only temporarily distracts you and leaves you depleted. I’ve read that you need a 6+ year root for that profile, but the growing conditions they are using must be top notch because this does the trick. The cherry on top is the product is delicious, and while I would have accepted this shipped in a bag in a box with nothing but a generic label, the packaging was great, and when you can go the extra mile with presentation despite being an independent farm it supports your claims of being a veteran of the industry.
One man’s trash is another man’s treasure, and thanks to ginseng connoisseurs preference for more aesthetically pleasing roots, deals like this exist. Do not be deceived by the looks. If you are on a budget or want to experiment with this plant, don’t overlook this great deal. I just ordered more so I can spread the word of the ginseng revolution.
I like this because it does not require cooking or boiling. The tea is quickly made. My friends told me the fibers could also used to cook chicken soup, to make the soup more nutritious.
