100% WISCONSIN-GROWN AMERICAN GINSENG
Meeting the highest of standards for renowned Wisconsin American ginseng, Panax quinquefolius, we are proudly certified by the Ginseng Board of Wisconsin®. Since 1991, the GBW has offered this accredited certification to protect the integrity of Wisconsin ginseng products, assuring you that the product you receive is 100% Wisconsin-Grown American ginseng. Heil Ginseng, Inc. is currently the only ginseng producer to be approved for the use of this esteemed seal.
AT THE FIELD AND FARM
Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) are applied from field planting preparation to harvesting. Each field’s root is kept separate and identified with a field number, then they are cooled, washed, dried, defibered (root hairs removed), barreled or boxed, weighed and labeled. All at our farm.
INDEPENDENT 3RD-PARTY TESTING
To ensure product quality and integrity, random root samples are sent to an independent lab, Covance Laboratories, to test for impurities, elements, ginsenosides level (these are the beneficial properties of the ginseng), and moisture level. Test methodologies at Covance are Internationally recognized.
PACKAGED PRODUCTS
All Heil Harvest products are processed in the United States of America.
Root Boxes & Bags: Once a field is selected for packaging root, roots are inspected, sorted, cut, and packaged at our own facility in Edgar, Wisconsin.
Capsules and Tea: Our roots are processed at cGMP (certified Good Manufacture Practices) and SQF (Safe Food Quality Institute) certified facilities in the USA.
So, basically, the roots in the package you buy are not well traveled, just the way it should be!
